I met with Dr. Hussain as a second opinion for an ACDF surgery. I was so impressed with Dr. Hussain from my first appointment. It was obvious that he was prepared to meet with me and knew my medical history and had reviewed my X-rays and MRI. He immediately recommended me for disc replacement instead of fusion. I was was glad he was recommending this surgery because I wanted to maintain full movement in my neck. He scheduled me for surgery and the entire process was much better than I expected. All of the staff at Loma Linda University Hospital were absolute professionals. They made me feel taken care of and comfortable every step of the way. The surgery staff was fantastic! They took the time to make me comfortable and answer all my questions. The nurses that cared for me after surgery were exceptional, I cannot imagine it being any better. My neck surgery went extremely well. Thank you to Dr. Hussain and LLU's staff.

THE SURGERY HUSSAIN PERFORMED WAS FAILED BACK SURGERY I FOUND OUT THAT IS THE CORRECT MEDICAL TERM - HUSSAIN LEFT ME WORSE OFF THAN BEFORE I HAD THE SURGERY I WAS IN HORRIFIC PAIN WHEN I WOKE-UP FROM. NO! Everything he did for my wife's fusion was bad. He did not get the artificial disk placed in all the way and it stuck out on the back so he had to add an L-bracket to keep it in place. He did not align the disks before he fused them so they are still out of alignment. He left bone fragments in which ended up tearing the dura membrane 3 months later once she was able to start recover activity. He would not fix that so we had to find a new surgeon to patch her dura. The dura was torn so bad my wife has had 2 surgeries to fix it and still needs more. He was supposed to do my back too and was going to use a new device that was smaller and expanded out once inserted between the disks. The benefit was that this would require a smaller incision. We had the surgery date scheduled and I did some more research and found out this device had not yet been certified to be compatible with MRI and had potential heat issues the new expandable cage may produce. When I brought this up he said he… was not aware of this issue. Then he turns around and says he does not think I need surgery and the 17 mm bulge will heal itself. I had to find another surgeon at USC who did the triple fusion and it went well.
