Dr. Namrata Mallik, MD

After going through a very traumatic medical experience both My fear and trust levels was not very good. After going to Dr. Mallik, due to her kind and gentle spirit, I was slowly able to regain trust and conquer My fear of Doctors. One of the things that I most admire about her is her ability to listen to the patient. She’ll take the time to throughly explain things in order for you to understand. I’m so pleased and satisfied and grateful for Dr. Mallik.

Dr. Mallik has been one of the best Drs. I've ever had. Very caring, listens well and not afraid to send you to a specialist if she doesn't know the answer. Great lady. :-)

Very good maner. I went with my wife for her appointment and I knew that I wanted to have Dr. Mallik as my Dr. also.

I have been seeing her for the last year plus. She communicates extremely well, is very personable and works well in a team environment.

I made an appointment for my annual physical. Once I got there the nurse said you are here for a follow up appt. from a visit 30 days ago when I was sick. I said No I am here for my annual physical. She then asked "me" if I was having a Pap. I said I don't know I just know I'm here for a physical. Supposedly there was a miscommunication between what they scheduled me for and what I was actually there for. The Dr. came in and saw the instruments for the Pap. Said to the nurse is she having a Pap? The nurse said I told her you two could discuss that. She did not discuss at all with me. No actual communication as to the miscommunication on the purpose of my visit. She just did a Pap without discussing it with me. I was very much rushed thru a quick physical. After 2 weeks of waiting for the results of m Pap I called to the Dr.'s office. They said she hadn't read it yet so they would have her call me. She did that day and told me there was not enough cells to get any results… of the Pap. I was upset that I went thru all of that and had no Pap results. I had told her my mother had uterine cancer and was told to watch that myself. She told me it would be OK for me to wait another year for another Pap test. I did not feel comfortable with that. I then called the office and spoke with the Office Manager about the confusion and my concerns. She then said she would have the Dr. do another physical exam and Pap with no charge for the physical but I would have to pay for another lab charge. I took 2 hours off of work and when I got there the Dr. spent 45 minutes going on and on about how she was a good Dr. and gave me a thorough exam. She was only defending herself . She then told me she was refusing to give me the Pap I had come in for. I questioned that and she called in the Office Manager. After she went on and on to me about how she is so good and did all these great things for me I was then very upset. I was in hives and I know my blood pressure was very high. I even started crying a little . I am not a person who that happens to easily. After she saw how upset I was in front of the Office Manager she did agree to do that Pap. She also told me I needed to find a new Doctor. Never did she care at all about the fact that I had been put thru all of this due to an error in scheduling and the poor communication. There was no apology only an attack. That is a very poor way to handle an error on the office's part and all the trouble and stress they caused me. She only took the defense instead of caring at all what I had been thru due to no fault of mine.

Easy to understand, very courteous, compassionate about the care you receive.
