If I could give negative stars I would. My daughter who had been struggling for almost a year with hives continued to be told 90% of hive cases have no known cause. That was her answer for me and my daughter. My daughter had to go to school with swollen eyes and all I could tell the teachers who kept calling in concern was, the allergists at Bellin won't test her and the majority of cases have no known cause. I actually walked out of the last appointment because I was so frustrated, and then to receive a questionnaire asking if my daughter was treated as her own person. PLEASE, she was grouped in with 90% of other people with hives. We then got referred to see Dr. Kagen and he immediately allergy tested her. We got in a heck of a lot faster with him then Bellin as well. Shockingly, she came back with allergies to Histamine and Dust Mites. Thanks for absolutely nothing Bellin and thanks a lot for making my 10 year old daughter suffer for so long!! Even though Dr. Fenny said my… daughter does not have MCAS, Dr Kagen has actually diagnosed her with MCAS and we are in the process of getting tests done for Hereditary Alpha Tryptasemia. She is now getting relief from foods, she had lost 15lbs because she would get bad stomach pains, but Dr. Fenny just ignored that symptom, saying if she didn't break out in hives when she ate then it's not a food allergy, or we don't do allergy testing unless there's hives for 6+ weeks, IT HAD BEEN 10 MONTHS!!! Again, thanks for nothing Bellin and Dr. Fenny. You should be ashamed of yourselves, what allergist doesn't test for allergies. I continued to get told it was against protocol. I will continue to recommend Dr. Steve Kagen to anyone looking into any types of allergies. He has also called to check on my daughter on a Saturday to see if the meds are helping her and prescribe her additional ones to help. Now that's a doctor who truly cares! I always thought Bellin was a great hospital but their Allergy department is truly lacking!

Dr. Fenny is an excellent professional who gives exceptional care to my children and myself. I cannot say enough about her and would not hesitate to recommend this accomplished doctor.

Beware of this doctor. She does not inform the patient of exactly which lab rests are being requested. I went in for a simple allergy test. She performed the test and then said she'd run a "couple" of extra tests to rule out an autoimmune disease. Then I got a bill for an additional 9 tests that cost over $500 out of pocket. These tests were excessive and unnecessary.
