Dr. Nancy Marie Aranda, MD

Dr. Aranda was amazing. She explained everything prior to surgery and answered my questions. Prepped me before going into the surgery room and from what my doctor told me she kept a very close eye on me the whole time. My surgery was longer than excepted and she stayed with me almost 45 minutes afterwards to make sure all my numbers were looking good and she didn't rush me to wake up. I'm very pleased I had her as my anesthesiologist!

I was very blessed to have Dr. Aranda as my anesthesiologist yesterday when I had my knee surgery at Parkway Surgery Center in Henderson. She is very knowledgeable in her field. I have severe gerd and wake up occasionally from sleeping choking on acid. I was told by a Dr who did one of my past surgeries to make sure I tell any future anesthesiologists I may have about my acid reflux that it can be life or death for me if they don’t know and the acid happens to come up while I’m under. I’ve told other anesthesiologists I’ve had about my problem but she is the first one that actually knew how dangerous it could be for me and immediately told me she is going to have to put me under differently and took the time to explain why and what could happen to me if she didn’t plug where the acid could come up (Sorry I can’t remember the body part specifically) and about what size she would use on me(little balloon) and if I happened to expel acid their is no way it can get to my lungs. She is a… angel and I love her dearly and will never forget her. She explained my trachea could be sore when I wake up for a couple of days because of having to use this thing that would save my life if my gerd acted up. I have no soreness! I also told her I get gravely ill from anesthesia and when I tell my anesthesiologists in the past they shrug me off and tell me they give something for nausea and when I try to explain I still wake up sick it falls on deaf ears. Not this time Dr. Aranda was very caring and assured me I wouldn’t be sick..... first time ever I wasn’t nauseous when I woke up. She is very professional and if anyone mistakes that for poor bedside manner shame on them she is and was the most caring Dr I’ve ever had. She took the time before my surgery when I was prepped and ready to get wheeled in and again when I was in the operating room again to assure me she’s going to take very good care of me. I would give her a million stars if possible. May the Lord bless and keep her well she is very special. Please forgive any typos I’m just not up to proofreading it’s 1:15 am and I’m in a bit of pain with my knee at the moment.

Poor bedside manner, condescending, did little to explain anything. Woke up from anesthesia extremely nauseous and the site of the surgery was excruciating.(I had the same sugery the year before, didnt experience that) If I ever get her again I will cancel the sugery.
