Brusque. Brushed off concerns.

I have been seeing psychiatrists for over 25 years in every city in which I have lived. Dr Arko is the best. It is not her job to do the talking, it is yours. Her job is to listen, appointment after appointment. If you are truly sincere about getting better, listen to what you are saying, tell yourself that you are going to work on becoming a more positive happy self and then do it between each appointment. Consider it homework. Don't whine. No self pity! Even if you think you deserve it. Just stop it and work on getting better. Dr Arko is not cold and only concerned about billables. She is not your mother! She is a professional. You are not. Dr Arko knows exactly what she is doing. You need to see her more than once or twice. Every psychiatrist needs time to build a repoir with their patients. Who are you to make snap judgements about a medical professional? What if she told you that you were freaking crazy after just one visit? Get it now? You are an adult. Act like one.

Dr. Arko is an extremely nice soft spoken lady who seems to genuinely care

Dr. Arko is very cold and not very personable. Had a hard time getting adequate help from her. Feel she sits back and does nothing really but maintain billables. Unfortunate. Hard to get an appointment, and not good at returning calls. Went elsewhere.

Dr Arko needs to do outreach and return her calls to patients with serious mental health problems. She also needs a phone service, staff to help with appointments. It appears that she takes on the appointment process, and is not very good at it. We will need to change providers.
