Dr. Nancy Ann Blum, DO

Always a caring and compassionate physician during office visits. Very knowledgeable in what is happening in the world and freely exchanges that information. Always a pleasure to have an appointment with Dr. Blum.

So I called a week ago to get an appointment, but "Sandy " had gone home sick....or whatever and would return my call the next day. That was a week ago. I wonder if Dr Blum knows about what poor customer service Jon and Sandy provice... Still waiting for a call back to see if she can take me as a patient. Really?

Dr. Blum is a great doctor. Very short wait times etc. However at the start of 2018 she stopped accepting all health insurances and went to a fee base direct care system. The problem is that she did not line up a new doctor for any of her patients. Great plan if you do not have health insurance, but for those that do have good insurance you are left paying over $1,000 dollars a year on top of your premiums.

I have been using this office as my primary care for several years. I appreciate that I can get in with sudden health issues within a day or two, to have it addressed while it is still an issue. I have never waited more than 5-10 minutes from the time of my appointment to be seen. I like the fact that while in the appointment if a question comes up that Dr Blum doesn't have the answer for she stops and searches it on her I Pad. Twice this has brought about the possibility of an alternative way to treat my condition . To be true, She may seem abrupt or blunt, but I want good health care not a babysitter who pats my hand and tells me everything is fine .

Dr. Blum's office was apparently too busy to process the referral for my colonoscopy so she caused it to be cancelled after I had already started fasting and was minutes away from taking the prep. Her office then proceeded to tell me she wasn't going to take my BCBS insurance plan even though she told me in late 2016 she would and she was contracted for my plan, including on the BCBS website. No way to treat patients!

Love Dr. Blum!! I have seen other doctors in this area and I am so pleased that she took me as a patient.

Dr. Blum is great! She is a common sense doctor and she really cares! Ever since we've been with Dr. Blum, we feel we are with the perfect doctor for both of us.

Dr Blum refused to refer my daughter to a GI doctor. She medicated her for 2 yrs with anti-acids. Unfortunately, she had gallbladder disease and ended up in the hospital for a long time due to the misdiagnose. She tried to tell me I had asthma after developing pneumonia on a cruise. She told my girlfriend she had anxiety when she was later diagnosed with cardiac issues.

Dr. Blum takes the time to sit down and talk with you about your concerns. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Blum listens carefully and encourages the patient to talk freely, with no time constraints. You never feel that the visit has a time limit. Dr. Blum is down-to-earth, frank and open. As new patients, my wife and I felt completely at ease with her.
