Dr. Nancy Lynne Dawson, MD

I began seeing Dr. Dawson for acne as a teenager in 1987. After 10 years of office visits, creams, antibiotics, dry ice treatments, and a round of Accutane, I was still battling acne with no improvement. Never once did she suggest a birth control pill. Once I got married began bcp, my skin cleared completely within one month. She could have saved me a lot of embarrassment, suffering, tears, and money had she went about treating my acne as hormonal. My endocrinologist asked me if it had ever been suggested by my dermatologist that I take bcp to help with my acne. Never once was it suggested. Shame on Dr. Dawson.

Dr. Dawson is an excellent physician. I had been to several doctors with no luck until I found her. She took the time in really listen to me. She's very caring and knowledgeable and is one of the lowest charging doctors in the Oklahoma City area. I would recommend her to anyone.

Failed to properly diagnose a skin cancer - never performed a biopsy.

Prior to my appointment with Dr. Dawson, I visited this website to review the opinion of others. I must say, I am glad I ignored the negativity. Dr. Dawson is an extremely knowledgeable, proficient and attentive physician. My concerns were addressed and cared for during the first visit. As for the front office staff, they were very courteous, caring and extremely professional. I was a new patient to the office and they made me feel like I had been visiting this office my whole life. I went in there a nervous wreck, but came out feeling great. I recommend this physicians office to anyone needing a referral.

Basically, she send me $500 bill and God knows how much she got from the insurance company and the result was nothing. She did NOT treat my white spots on my skin. After doing biopsy and sending to pathology, she did not even know how to treat it. She was expecting me to go back for more visits and more money out of my pocket.I don't think so!!!

Dr. Dawson was ok but her staff is AWFUL. I wouldn't mind seeing her again but not until she can improve her staff. I also prefer younger doctors and she is old. She also works random days/times. Be prepared to adjust your schedule so you can fit in your appointment if you go here.
