Dr. Nancy Ann Everett, MD

During my nightmarish cervical screening, "Dr." Everett had these patronizing gems to say to me as a woman: 1) "Is that what you tell yourself?" (In response to me mentioning that I tend to bleed very heavily after exams & mentioned past cervical issues.) 2) When I DID, indeed, begin bleeding very heavily, she said as she walked out, leaving me in pain and bleeding profusely, "Huh, looks like you actually ARE a bleeder." But she made sure to say, "I'm sure it's nothing, though" because condescending dismissal is clearly her modus operandi. 3) "I'm sure that's what you think," & "I'm sure that's not the case," in a clear dismissal of everything I mentioned to her regarding my prior surgery/health experiences. I left profusely bleeding, humiliated, and in pain. Dr. Everett's arrogant & patronizing dismissal puts women in danger because it renders patient voices moot and contributes to patients avoiding care. I did not return for another exam for many years. I could not switch… insurance and waited until Dr. Everett was no longer providing pelvic exams, choosing to endanger my health rather than face Dr. Everett again. While this may sound dramatic, I was traumatized by her offensive dismissals. This doctor chose to insult and dismiss, and did so while I laid bare on the table in such vulnerable way. This made what should have just been offensive/annoying actually be traumatizing. Stay away from Dr. Everett. Even if you've not seen this from her yet, you will. It was not a confrontational exam; I am sure Dr. Everett has no idea how utterly offensive she even was because this is simply her character.

Was a patient for approximately one year and would not recommend this physician due to lack of knowledge regarding breast feeding issues, was given an inaccurate diagnosis.

I have been a patient of Dr. Everett's for quite a few years now and feel comfortable - and honored - to recommend her highly to potential patients. She is pleasant, professional, thorough and caring.
