Dr. Nancy Sue Fuller, MD

I was born with a rare genetic disease but did not begin experiencing symptoms until my 50s. At that time, I gradually lost function due to pain but it was during a period of self-employment when I lacked healthcare. I went from exercise sizing an hour to an hour and a half every day to barely exercising for 20 minutes a few times a week. Thus, I became about 30 pounds overweight. When I got Obamacare, I went to see Dr. Fuller to find out what had been happening to me. But she refused to diagnose anything but weight gain even though I explained that I gained the weight as I stopped being able to exercise due to pain – ie, the pain came first so couldn’t have been caused by the wait. Still she insisted I had to lose weight before she could attempt to diagnose any other cause for my pain. Eventually I found another physician who is able to diagnose my initial condition is a rare genetic disease.

Dr. Fuller always takes the time to answer my questions and give me the information I need to make the best choices around my health care. That is very important to those of us trying to "live right."

Is there a doctor in the house who really cares enough about the patient? My experience is just that. My visits mostly are rushed and part of teaching interns and more focused on that. I feel like I am not a person but just a case.I can look on the internet and get the same information I receive and even more personal sense of care. Perhaps I expect too much but I always feel my time was a waste. She really doesn't seem to care about me as a patient. Very flat.

I just think Dr. Fuller is awesome. She has always been a caring and excellent physician to me. I am so glad she is my doc!

Dr. Nancy Fuller is an exceptional doctor. She cares about her patients, spends time with them, is friendly. She gives accurate diagnosis and backs it up with information that you can take with you. She stays current on recent medically information.

I feel she listens to my concerns and offers understandable explanation and reasons for her recommendations. She does not make me feel rushed nor does she dismiss my symptoms.
