Dr. Nancy Graves, MD

I originally came to Dr. Graves to deal with some depression and anxiety issues (along with continuing my ADHD treatment) after my GP recommended I go see her. She is very knowledgeable about personality disorders; however, when it came to my ADHD she couldn't have cared less about helping me get better. She would only prescribe me expensive off-label medication; all of which had horrible side effects. When I finally did get her to prescribe me a stimulant I'd used prior to her care, one conversation about its longevity caused her to take me off of it. While I don't doubt that Dr. Graves is competent, she behaves in a paranoid and erratic manner when certain medications come up in conversation. If you have or (suspect you have) ADHD, I'd strongly recommend finding another MH professional to see. Dr. Graves will be of limited (or no) help to you, and might leave you worse off (financially and mentally) than before you started seeing her.

I read with amusement the one star reviews given to Dr. Graves, appears we were ticked off that she probably saw right through you and you were probably doctor shopping. The Dr. Graves I saw a few weeks ago is not the MD in those reviews. She listens, is kind, compassionate, understanding, conversational, extremely knowlegeable. Without hesitation would recommend to my family, in fact my late partner saw her before I was her patient. She only prescribes only what is necessary and is available between visits. Her office staff has always been warm and friendly and her nurse is great and does return calls promptly as she states in her voice mail introduction. Any lab tests requested would be based on her decade plus of a practice. She doesn't order just to order. I was an RN for 45 years, I would recognize a bad MD in a second since I have worked with many. That, Dr. Graves is not!

Very disappointed in the care I received from Dr GRaves. Unnecessary labs and demanded I have a cardiologists health release. sent me to be tested by a specialist in the field of ADHD after four years of seeing her Lack of compassion for her patents. Taking me off all medication and not one phone call to see how im doing. Very disappointed.

Recommends expensive testing not covered by insurance. Recommended a lot of testing for me. I am an otherwise healthy 21 year old girl. Nurse is very slow at follow up calls. Usually takes 2-3 days for return call. I had a terrible reaction to my medicine and she did not believe me. I had to see an urgent care physician for treatment. I will not be returning to her care.

Very insightful and uses modern gene testing, sleep study and independent psychologist to base her diagnosis on. She is the best Shrink I have ever had in terms of accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. The gene testing is particularly good at weeding out medications that will and won't work for the individual. Highly recommend.

Dr. Graves is the most compassionate person/Dr. I've ever known. Thank you Dr. Graves.

EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN! Very thorough, accurate,knowledgeable, empathetic, relate-able and understanding. Always prompt in an emergency situation.

Dr. Graves exhibits an earnest desire to provide quality, professional, and compassionate medical practice for those charged to her care.

Pros: Very personable physician. She spent ample time with me. Very good beside manner, gives compassionate care. She obviously is very well-read, and applies recent evidence to support her treatment approaches. I would recommend her to anyone. Her nurse is also very kind and helpful.Cons: Office staff could be better. Getting an appointment is not very straightforward. Takes longer than I like to wait for a phone call to be returned.

She asked the right questions and helped me instantly when two other professionals didn't see the need. She follows up and makes herself available. It's been life changing for me.
