Dr. Nancy Sturgis Hazlett, MD

I have done some very important and difficult growth with Dr Hazlett’s help. She is attentive, insightful, supportive, challenging when needed. And she is more than available in a crisis. We have formed a very strong therapeutic relationship that has helped me to make some really strong positive changes in my life. I value that relationship deeply and am so grateful for Dr Hazlett!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Hazlett for almost 20 years. She has seen me through some of the most difficult times in my life. She has never been preachy or condescending, as some providers tend to be. I have called her in crisis several times and each time she was able to help talk me down from my ledge. She has saved my life many times over and I will be eternally grateful.

I trusted Dr. Hazlett with a lot. Then, a violent criminal attacked me and I took her advice, since she was the one I reached first. The criminal, a thief, will never be punished because of her advice I trusted. I will never gain justice. I can't go back.

Dr. Hazlett is consistently attentive and caring. Her depth of knowledge, ability to remember what we discuss, and her level of caring are truly impressive. I am very glad she is my psychiatrist.

I saw her as a student at Carnegie Mellon after a trauma on campus. It was a terrible experience to see her for counseling as since she was paid by CMU her opinions were influenced by them. The worst things she did though is Hazlett violated my health privacy when I was no longer a student at Carnegie Mellon by sending email and handwritten notes to to Carnegie Mellon health center without my written consent. When I asked about it Hazlett will not return my phone calls. Now I am in the process of getting my records from her and I had to contact a lawyer to do so.

Firstly I'd like to say I clicked 1 star because no stars weren't an option. This "Doctor", and I use that term loosely because she is nothing more than a con man with a degree. She does not care about her patients, but she has much experience presenting the illusion that she cares and has empathy for you. I have never in my life met a more narcissistic person. she has ample suggestions and advice to give you, but God forbid you do not take her advice? Well, don't you know she knows what's best for everyone in the world? Advice that I have taken from her only lead me down a worse path. I got thru my problems DESPITE her treatment, not because of it. So is it in her eyes if I would've listened to everything she told me I would be perfectly happy and a well adjusted person? No. She just wants you to do what she says. She doesn't give a crap about you really. She takes an offense when you don't take her good for nothing suggestions, because how dare you not listen to the epitome of… a spurious "person", another term I could also use loosely. Don't waste your time even calling this "doctor". She probably doesn't have room for anymore patients because she has the ones seeing her duped. I'll admit she had me fooled for a long time as well. She is not a wonderful doctor as other reviews state, just a wonderful fraud.
