Nancy Alice Lum, RN

Welcome to the GI & Bariatric Nutrition Center, LLC (GIBNC). Nancy Alice Lum, RN, is passionate about helping her clients overcome their food addictions and emotional eating behaviors and learn to love nutritious eating! She understands the enormous challenges with changing years of habits that do not serve us. Her goal is to help her clients love and embrace a better approach to food. Nancy is certified in Nutrition for Mental Health through Evergreen Certifications.

Nancy Lum is a licensed, registered, Dietitian nutritionist specializing in GI and weight loss. She graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a bachelor’s in science, and nutrition. She was accepted into the University of Maryland Medical System UMMS internship. Nancy developed and ran the Bariatric nutrition program at Sinai Hospital from 2004-2010. She worked in multiple disciplines. She specialized in GI, general, and surgical weight loss. She owns The GI and Bariatric Nutrition Center which …services multiple physicians’ patients. Nancy developed and currently manages and runs the bariatric nutrition program at St Agnes Hospital for both pre-surgery and post-surgery patients. Nancy is currently seeing bariatric patients and patients with multiple GI diagnoses, diabetic, cardiac, eating disorders, and general weight loss clients, as well as overall health improvement. Nancy and Dawn O’Meally, LCSW-C teamed up and have delivered powerful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) classes to attack the underlying issues such as sabotaging, habits, and thinking that contribute to weight and poor health. She has over 19 years of experience in the field.
