Dr. Nancy Mann, MD

We've been seeing Dr. Mann for approx. 4 years. Unlike the other reviewer, I've found her bedside manner to be very positive. She asks thoughtful questions of my child and considers my opinions as the parent. My daughter has trichotillomania, and Dr. Mann prescribed meds that have nearly cure the condition. The biggest down-side to working with Dr. Mann is her tight schedule. There are so few pediatric behaviorists in our region, that her particular area of specialty is in high demand. So there's often a three-to-six month wait for appointments. Once you're in, though, she treats you and your child with respect and dignity.

Dr Mann needs to be more empathetic to the parents of newly diagnosed children with Autism. I was horrified and overwhelmed, and when I asked a lot of questions, she seemed annoyed and was short with me.
