Dr. Nancy Ruth Novotny, MD

She is horrible and that’s being nice. She told me it was my fault I have Crohn’s Disease. Really? Seriously, this woman should not be allowed practice medicine.

Our terrible experience mirrored that of other reviewers. Dr. Novotny is not patient, kind or understanding. She is dismissive and brushes off complaints without taking any care to understand the situation. We went to another doctor who found the source of the complaint immediately after Dr. Novotny had dismissed it as nothing. There are other, better health care providers out there. I regret having stayed with her practice as long as we did.

Office is very bad in getting back to you with the results of any tests. Also, if she makes a recommendation and you do not want it, you get a sarcastic, smart-aleck remark in return. If you request that she not press on your stomach because of a fibroid, she totally disregards your request and says, "I have to donwhat I have to do". I cannot stand this Dr at all.

An unsympathetic doctor and only concerned about ending her shift at 5pm. I left a message about 2-3 times asking to be called back- never has she called back. Worst ever-

Dr. Novotny is horrible. She wrinkled her face and threw what can only be described as a tantrum when she realized I was there for a pap smear, which she didn't want to do -- she acted repulsed and then took it out on me. She didn't use lube on the speculum, just jammed it in dry, and she didn't give me any notice that she was going to put her finger in my rectum -- again, she just jammed it in unexpectedly, and then mocked me when I jumped, saying "c'mon, you know this is part of it!" She humiliated me, deliberately! She also refused to prescribe anything for my high cholesterol (290's) because I failed to lose 20 lbs in 3 months (I only lost 8) -- she said she needed to see that I care about my health first, before she would prescribe anything to reduce my cholesterol. Thankfully, I now have a doctor who works with me, rather than Nancy Novotny who really just punished, shamed and embarrassed me.
