Dr. Nancy Y Olson, MD

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share our experience. My daughter had a consultation scheduled, and we planned on driving three hours for this appointment the next day. At the end of the day before the appointment, the office called to cancel because they believed they did not accept our insurance. I explained that we do not have insurance and would be paying out of pocket. When we originally scheduled the appointment, we were told the consultation fee would be $269. After speaking with the doctor, the office manager informed us that the doctor would not see my daughter. When it comes to providers allowing insurance to dictate the care they give patients, that is not the standard our health care providers should uphold. I hope that when you consult this provider, you ensure you or your insurance provider are being billed correctly. I’m not sure why you would not take a self pay patient.

I have been dealing with auto immune issues for the past year. Dr Olson has been thorough, patient, informative, and persistent. I believe she is knowledgeable and on my side to figure it all out. A great example is last week, I had not had an appointment with her office for several weeks and I am not due to return for 2 months and she reached out through the patient portal to make some changes to my meds and check in. I thought it was amazing that she is still working for me even in between visits! And her staff is so kind and fun and funny! I look forward to seeing the staff. No, the office isn’t the most modern looking (not “Johnson County” fancy) but after going through treatment and seeing how thorough Dr Olson is being for me, I’d go and see her in a cave if it meant I got this type of treatment!!!!!! Thank you, Dr Olson. I know I’m in great hands.

I have always found Dr. Olson to be kind and helpful. I will never go to anyone else.

She didn't listen to anything I had to say and because of that, she tested me for the wrong things. Plus, she made me wait almost an hour and wasn't apologetic at all. She's rude, inconsiderate, and definitely get her hearing checked before she calls her patients liars. I would not recommend her to anyone.
