Dr. Nancy Shumeyko, MD

Dr. Shumeyko does seem to be in a hurry but she's very efficient, very matter-of-fact, she makes it very clear what's going on and what to expect. And I like that

she is great, staff is great.

I went for post surgery issues,went several times,got three different diagnoses from three different nurse practitioners. When I finally got an emergency appt, Dr Shamako was basically telling me I wasn't feeling what I was feeling bc test were all negative,expect one. Literally yelled at me for sticking up fir myself to the rude Drs in the Wilson er. Then proceeded to tell me if I'm going to be constantly complicated she wasn't going to treat me anymore. I'm a 41 yr ol female who just went through a tubal, nova sure and rough recovery, and have had a vagina irritations, and burning. She sent me home with a hemorrhoid medication,which I'm clearly not going to.put up my vagina. And never requested a follow-up.

Best ob/gyn office ever.

Dr. Shumenko was very professional, she spent time explaining my diagnosis and the treatment plan. Dr. Shumenko made sure all my questions were answered. I had 2 follow up visits after my surgery and she was very thorough and explained what I should expect in my recovery. Highly recoomed

I had a Prolift bladder sling and transvaginal mesh implant in 2007 and suffered a bladder puncture during the surgery. I had sciatic nerve irritation a few months after the surgery, and now have back pain all the time. I have other complications from the implant which have now been sited by the FDA, but when I reported them to Dr. Shumeyko, she brushed them aside as digestive issues. Her office has never mailed me an alert about the FDA warnings on mesh complications. I find this to be irresponsible.

I have been seeing this doctor since i was 16. I find her to be efficient and caring.

Always in a hurry, does not seem truly interested in patient care. Very hyper, doesn't focus well.

Dr.Shumeyko shows lack of concern and care for patient well-being. Pushes patient out of office hastily. Does not listen to patient concerns. Quick to dismiss and quiet complications/problems. Avoids patient requests for emergency appointment post surgery. Offensive reply and demeanor when checking post surgery patient concerns. Terribly hasty and pushy when dealing with patient questions/diagnosis/options. Staff of office portrayed aggitation and inconvenienced aire when attempting to schedule appointments and follow-up care.
