Dr. Nancy Marie Sokany, MD

I went to see Dr Sokany because my left foot was swollen and I had pain in my little toe, toe beside it and side/bottom of foot. She sent me for an x-ray on Thursday morning. I confirmed with office Friday morning they had radiologist report. I did not receive a call from Dr Sokany until Tuesday after 5:00 pm. By then I had gone to Ortho Carolina, had x-rays and gotten an orthotic shoe. That was my second time seeing Dr Sokany and am not impressed. When she called me she said there wasn’t anything to do for fractured toes. The orthotic shoe I received from Ortho Carolina is certainly helping reduce pain in my foot

IVE ENCOUNTERED DR SOKANY SEVERAL TIMES AS EMPLOYEE AND HAVE EXPERIENCE HOW SHE TREATS "SOME" OF HER PATIENT. SHE IS A LITTLE SHORT NASTY BALL OF FIRE. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HER TO TREAT ANYONE NOT EVEN MY DOG. JUST A NASTY PERSON IN GENERAL AND AS A MD. DON'T WASTER YOUR TIME WITH THIS DOCTOR SHE MAY HAVE THE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BUT NOT THE KINDNESS AND EMPATHY THAT A DOCTOR NEEDS TO CARE FOR SICK PATIENT.

After Dr. Greene retired, approximately 2 years ago, Dr. Sokany was highly recommended to me as a replacement physician. She has been great in listening to all my concerns during visits, many times going beyond my concerns and finding problems I did not know of, and in scheduling me for appointments after I had visited Urgent Care and ER facilities.

I have been a patient for approx 8 years and I couldn’t be more pleased with her care. On two occasions she felt immediate treatment was necessary and followed up with the specialist after hours and then with me to be sure all was okay. Dr. Sokany has been my primary care dr. for over 9 years. Through a lot of tough medical issues and even small things, Dr. Sokany has been wonderful. She takes the time to explain the difficult things and gets me in and out when it's something simple. She honestly cares about how I am doing, what's working and what's not, and it shows in everything she does as a doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Sokany for over 10 years and wouldn't have anyone else as my primary care physician!

Dr. Sokany was backing up my doctor and I called with a serious issues. Dr. Sokany told the nurse that she "might" call me back. I guess she decided not to call me.

When I needed her the most she came through for me. I knew she only had 15 minutes but I was going through a lot of turmoil about reaching retirement age and needing to leave my profession I loved so much. She helped me understand my profession hadn't ended. I was moly changing from one nursing unit to another. God help her she's so patient. Also, she never misses anything on my annual exam. I always get a letter with results of tests.

Dr. Sokany is a wonderful physician, and she has taken care of my Mom so well for years, I've made her my primary care Doctor as well.

i just moved to Charlotte and a colleague recommended. Poor communication skills and seemed disinterested. Terrible follow-up and will not continue to use her as my primary care doctor.
