Best doctor appointment ever in terms of focus, knowledge and discussion

Dr. Sudak is extremely knowledgeable and kind. She goes over your chart in detail and works with you over time to make positive changes that impact your health.

Because the wait to get into see Dr. Sudak is so long (more than three months at the time of my initial appointment), Dr. Sudak's office recommended I see the NP working under her, Rachel Scharfenberg, who was available sooner. After the consultation appointment, which was disappointing and felt more like meeting with a traditional doctor, I decided not to return to Ms. Scharfenberg and instead decided to wait for Dr. Sudak, as I had originally intended. Unfortunately, have a couple phone exchanges, I was told, quite curtly, by Dr. Sudak's office that they 'don't do that sort of thing,' meaning switch health care providers in response to a patient's request. I've been fortunate to have a couple great integrative/functional doctors where I've lived in the past, and doctors in other specialities, but when I did need to make a change, it was a never a problem, until this experience. I'm sorry Dr. Sudak's office can't align its priorities and procedures to better focus on patient… concerns and needs, and I am sorry I was made to feel awful for even asking for different care.

Several women recommended Dr. Sudak to me when I was looking for a new doctor. I found her to be very down to earth, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I only wish she still did OB so I could be seeing her now, but plan to go back to her after my pregnancy is done.
