Dr. Nancy Sharon Thorner, MD

I went to this doctor to have IUD position checked. The ultrasound technician in her office was cold and mean and made me get undressed in front of her not once but twice. She used two different probes and they charged me for two ultrasounds (for same visit and same problem) and then Dr Thorner trapped me in her office for 45 minutes refusing to give me my results so she could try to push me into having my stomach stapled. After all that she told me she thought the IUD was there but she couldn't tell because I was too fat. I later found out a simple X-ray would have shown the IUD clearly and have been less expensive. A few weeks later I received a phone call from Dr Thorner on a Saturday night asking me for a professional favor i.e. my OWN profession. So she used my cell phone number which I only provided for communication about my own health for her own benefit!! I found the entire experience extremely unprofessional bordering on malpractice and I considered reporting her to the… medical board. Do NOT go to this doctor you will be overcharged her bedside manner sucks and she will bully you!!!

Nancy is an excellent doctor and goes above and beyond whatever I come in for. She's very thorough. If you're late though, she can embarrass you in front of patients about it. If you can handle that or better yet, just never be late, you'll find she is very excellent in her profession. She cares about her patients and even gives you a hug on your first visit. She is very different, very direct, but very awesome at knowing how to cure your issues.

Dr. Thorner helped my teenage daughter in a time of serious need. She was kind and compassionate, made extra time in her schedule, explained everything in great detail, and was concerned about how I, the mother, felt as well. Yes, she is a bit eccentric. Yes, she can be diverted off track a bit, but she takes time with every patient so that the time you wait is well worth it. I highly recommend her.

I've seen Dr Thorner for 10 years. She has taken very good care of me while I have my 4 children over the 10 years. She is an expert at what she does and always put my well being first. I love her for her strength, her truthfulness and sincerity. There were times when my pregnancies were not going so smoothly. The 2nd baby was not having enough water, the 3rd was in distress and not having sufficient oxygen and the 4th was going to be pre-mature at 26 weeks. She assured me that she will do everything she can, and she did! All the deliveries were full term and my kids are healthy and doing great. She took me off work on the 4th pregnancy and insisted that I need rest. She battled with insurance to let me stay home. After I tied my tubes day after I delivered my 4th baby, I was not doing so good. She made a nurse stay in my room the whole night to care for me because she knows I do not like to impose on anyone for help. I am very grateful for everything she has done for me. I strongly… recommend her to anyone who wants excellent care. She is truly a great, caring doctor and will look out for you.

She and her staff are very unprofessional. She needs to retire, as she appears to lack much interest or concern with her patients. She's probably bored because she's seen it all.

Is A REALLY great person, and she truly cares abou ther patients!! she is very straight forward but we all need someone who is. :) We love her!! and highly recommend Mature adults to her

I have known Nancy for many years. She delivered my niece beautifully and she was so comforting to our family as we welcomed her into our new world. She then delivered my first child. This was not such an easy birth., She set us up and Had to leave briefly. After she left things went a little down hill. I labored for almost 2 days. When Nancy did show up it was clear that she was not happy with what was going on. She took complete "control and got us back on track! It was quite impressive. Nancy also delivered my daughter by C section. She was a compete pro the entire way though. Nancy may a little rough around the edges because of beginning as an east coaster,but and most importantly she wants to make sure that the baby and the mama are top priority. She can handle any situation that may cone up.she is an amazing doctor and surgeon.lastly I would say that Nancy is a real person whom cares about her patients.

Nancy Thorner is an excellent physician with years of medical and personal experience in the treatment of women and their gynocological issues. Her specialty is old women and their body changes thru menopause. She is from New York, and for some people, can rub you wrong. But I find her attitude and insight refreshing.
