Dr. Nancy Ung is a native of the Bay Area and
returned to practice here since receiving her
Master of Science in Dentistry and specialty certificate
in orthodontics from the University of Washington.
Prior to this, she earned her dental degree and
Master of Public Health at Harvard University
and her undergraduate degree from Stanford. She
has been an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF
since 1996 where she lectures and supervises patient
care for the orthodontic residents. She has published
numerous articles in the Medical and Dental literature
and serves on the Editorial Board of the two major
orthodontic journals: the American Journal of
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the
Angle Orthodontist. She has received numerous
awards and Fellowships for her past research.
She also is the Component Liaison for new members
for the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists
(PCSO). Dr. Ung has also volunteered her services
at the evening teaching clinic at La Clinica de
…La Raza in Oakland since 1989.
