Very helpful and efficient

She took time to listen and put me at ease.

She was very thorough since this was first visit with her since my former doctor quit. She did labs and X-rays. Talked to me about all of my current medications and even. Changed one since I felt the one I was taking was not helping. I was asked if it was okay if the student doctor could shadow her. I said yes, if they don’t get first hand experience, how can they learn. Waiting for test results because it has only been one day.

She always makes time to discuss things with you. She SAVED my life after open heart surgery! Routine office visit after surgery she was worried about my appearance. She insisted on doing a blood test and found that my platelets were VERY high and that I needed to get to the hospital immediately. The heart surgeon was very concerned about my platelets and through my exam they were able to see that the bag around my heart was filling with fluid so a second open heart surgery was needed or the inevitable would happen. I thank her every time I see her.

Being new to the state/area I was so nervous having to find a new physician. Let me tell you, I absolutely hit the jackpot with Dr. Witherspoon. She is so kind, patient, thorough and above all else, incredibly knowledgeable! At each appt she takes her time and is very attentive, compassionate and eager to listen to my worries and concerns. Dr. Witherspoon is an absolute Godsend and I’m so thankful to have found her.

She realizes not everything is by the book. Treats me like a person not a chart. Is very quick to say if I need to go somewhere else.
