Dr. Nandita Raja, MD

I'm sure Dr. Raja is a good doctor. However she has zero interpersonal skills. Her approach is aggressive and intolerant of her patients' needs. She is not a patient advocate. She attempts to manipulate through aggressive fear tactics. This is not an effective approach with cancer patients. I leave her office in tears every time, and reading her notes in my chart is infuriating because there is little truth to what she writes. If you are a Kaiser patient and assigned to Dr. Raja for cancer "care"--run, do not walk, to the nearest exit!

Dr. Raja is so straight forward that she might not be for everyone. She never hesitates to put an order in for a test if you tell her of a new pain or symptom. And i’ve Never waited in her waiting room for more than 3-5 min. Very prompt. She told me once that if i can make the appt. then the least she can do is be on time. After all, I’m the one that is sick.

Why do I call her this? She has the bedside manner of a poisonous snake. In 2010, she told me I had a zero % chance of survival, metastatic uterine cancer had moved to my lungs. To be told you have terminal cancer is in itself devastating, but to be given no hope--unequivocally--is bordering on malpractice. Thankfully, I found an alternative healing protocol instead. 6 months after beginning the protocol, the cancer was gone. Next month, I celebrate my seven year "cancer-versary." So much for her prediction that I had 9-18 months to live ! Had I stayed with her I would be dead.

She does not communicate well. She likes to use the phrase “I am sure it is nothing” yet I found out subsequently that my cancer had spread. She told me that my only course if my cancer had spread would be chemo again, but the question would be when. Later, she said that surgery was possible. I left her office visit confused and with more questions.

If it was t for Dr. Raja I wouldn't be alive today. She saved my life from a very rare lymphoma. No other Dr. Actually believe me but Dr. Raja did. She was patient was a great listener and so very caring. Anyone should feel lucky to have her as their Doctor.
