Dr. Napat Leeaphorn, MD

I believe the last reviewer was a friend of the doc. Let's be honest. He does not have the right attitude to take care of patients. I recently heard him talk and yes he has that accent that makes him hard to understand. I guess spending few years at Harvard did not correct his accent.

These comments about Dr. Leeaphorn are unfair. How can you mention that he is not good at English? He was a Harvard Medical School trainee, trained in nephrology and transplant, and is currently working at the best hospital in the world, the Mayo Clinic. I think he just spoke the truth without sugarcoating it, and the people criticizing him simply cannot accept the truth. Are they also being racist? Shame on you!

I wouldn't recommend him for anything. When he called me to tell me that I had to go off the transplant list because I got breast cancer again. He goes well Mrs Miller (real snotty attitude) you will get cancer again and it will be 100 times worse and you will die!! You don't have any hope! I said "what! I have never had a doctor be so rude!" He repeated that I don't have hope and you are going to die! I told him I couldn't believe what I was hearing and he was being very unethical and he was not following the doctor's oath. I told him that if I don't have hope I have nothing. I have Lupus which I have had since 1973. I wouldn't be where I am because I had hope. I am a strong person and have had many health issues I have had to deal with. I cried for 3 months. My husband finally told me that I need to quit crying. He said it wasn't doing me any good. I kept saying I don't have hope. He said you can't let that uncaring, rude, jerk let you decide if you will live or die. It has taken… me quite a while but I want to tell NAPAT (he does not deserve the title of DOCTOR) I'm still here. It's been over 2 years and every time I think of you I pray KARMA will kick you HARD. I'm so sorry you are working for a wonderful hospital. Too bad they haven't seen your true side. I hope they see this and really look into how you speak to people. All the people you have been rude to should contact your facility. You are not a nice person that's for sure. They need to monitor your phone calls. I HOPE every day. I PRAY every day. I will live my life with love and care (NOT LIKE YOU)

Poor communication skills and lack of compassion is a lethal combination for a transplant physician

disorganized, easily distrated, talkes like a woman. Not all Mayo docs are exemplary

I don't know about other people but I like my doctor to be compassionate. Not sure if he is from Vietnam or Laos or Burma. His English is so so. We need more American docs who has no trouble communicating

I went to see this doctor because I am on dialysis and want to get a kidney transplant. He kept asking me questions that I already answered when I filled out my paperwork. Seem like he had a chip on his shoulder.
