Dr. Nardine Moheb Fahime Daoud Messiha

My PCP of 20 years left her practice and I’m trying to find another. After forwarding all my records to her office, I went to Dr. Messiha to establish myself as a new patient. Her manner was professional. However, she was forgetful, failing to order the one prescription I was out of –and been taking over 10 yrs– and a lab test she wanted me to get. Two Rx’s which I didn’t need were sent to my pharmacy instead. Her office said I had to wait for the Rx and lab test to be ordered until after she returned from a 2-week vacation. I saw her the day after her return and she waited another 4 days to send in my prescription. I had to wait almost a month from the first appointment to receive the medication I needed. She didn’t want to continue the plan of my former PCP though I regularly see specialists who have coordinated with her for years. I felt suspected of poor intentions, finding my record flagged as being a medication risk though I didn’t ask her to change anything with my treatment… plan. Lastly, she did not communicate with me when lab results come in. Patients may review results online, but she didn’t leave any follow up message. My other physicians order my prescriptions while we’re in the room together. By waiting until later to send them in, I can see that it would be easy for Dr. Messiha to forget them after seeing more patients. I wasn’t comfortable with her as a doctor or her manner of delaying Rx and lab orders, and I’m very uncomfortable with her unwillingness to continue the treatment plan established for me by coordinated care. Flagging my file was uncalled for; if she’d read the records from the former PCP she’d have seen I took my medication as prescribed without any red flags raised in 20 years.
