Dr. Narendra Virji Dhaduk, MD

My contact with Dr Dhaduk was limited, but in that short time he properly diagnosed by condition, GBS, quickly initiated appropriate treatment and was effective in having me transferred to the ICU for life saving treatment. He also took the time to speak to my family and keep them abreast of the ongoing and future intense medical services I would need. Thank you Dr D.

Reminiscent of an old style Dr. Office. I thought he did a good job. the place is not dirty and did not smelled of cigarettes, as a previous poster said. He seemed as good as any other Dr.

If you're looking for a plush setting where you'll get a warm fuzzy feeling, this isn't it. I was referred by my PCP who cautioned me what to expect. But I needed a good neurologist to diagnose and help me through a mild stroke and that's exactly what I got. Dr Dhaduk is not a great conversationalist. but I found him to be very straightforward and professional in every aspect of my care. Recently, I had occasion to visit him for another neurological problem and he was again very open and frank, telling me that the problem was beyond his expertise and helped me get an appointment with a respected neurosurgeon in Hershey that is normally booked months in advance. Despite the reports of his manners of operation and his less than personal interaction, I would not hesitate to highly recommend Dr Dhaduk to my family and friends.

I'm not sure of my rating at this point because this was my first visit. However I was very apprehensive when entering the building. To me it looked like an apartment building and not a Dr. office. Inside the building was very outdated and had a musty smell. Which was kind of scary because I was going for something I consider very serious. The atmosphere felt old and unkept. When I reached the office on the second floor the office staff was very friendly and efficient. My appointment was at 2:00pm and I was taken back to see the doctor at 2:10. Pretty much no wait at all. I waited in the exam room only moments before he entered. I was very nervous at first due to the appearance of the office, but quickly felt comfortable in his presence. He spent an entire hour with me, never making me feel rushed or like I was taking up too much of his time. He asked a thousand questions. Things I never thought pertained to migraines. And yes, as mentioned in another rating, he was quick and to the… point. He wanted only the question he was asking answered. However at the end he did open the floor, per say, and ask me if I had anything to add or ask. He comforted me and told me he will make me all better and I left feeling comforted despite how I felt when I entered the building. I will be returning to him for a follow up appointment . I feel he did everything I would expect to be done in a first appointment. In fact i expected less and assumed i would be returning again and again before I was given answers or possible solutions to my problem. I left feeling satisfied with my visit and would recommend this Dr.

While I do believe Dr Dhaduk does believe he has the patients best interest at heart and is congenial, taking time to do full and complete exam. Does documentation at time of exam which in today’s world is important. Perhaps my biggest disappointment is he does not like listening too much to the patient. He likes to ask questions and have you answer succinctly, no explanations. I found he would repeat back time what he thought I was saying only to have it not be what I meant at all. This was I believe frustrating for me and as I’m a strong self advocate I believe somewhat frustrating to him. He does care about his patients. No doctor is perfect. I do believe he tries his best for each person. Staff has always been very accommodating. My biggest concern regarding my own care is his lack of knowledge of what we now know Lyme disease really is and how if not treated or not treated completely will always present as a neurological concern. In my experience, after my own research and… seeing a Lyme Literate Certified Doctor, is I was teaching him about this relatively new disease and aspects of it and neurological impact. While he initially listened, he refused to learn more on his own and then would dismiss that part of the puzzle. Again frustrating for me. For many neurological problems I believe he is well educated and experienced.

Still no answer to my questions as he leaves the room and has no time to answer questions after Brain MIR and many pills . He also requests more money than the health insurance program he works on. He leaves the room a lot. I was tested for MS. I didn't have it. I asked each time what was causing lesions and how my lessions are and how to fix them and how come they are there. Someone should look at the meds and why he cant answer the patients as we pay and need to be answered. I found at church many folks know these issues. Please review the meds as some are over the top and doubled to take, which is scary!

My first impression of the office that it smelled like stale cigarettes. Once in the exam room, I noticed that bedsheets are used to cover the exam table vs. disposable paper to be changed between patients. This is a sanitary issue. Dr. Dhaduk wasn't going to address the issue that brought me in until I asked him. Rather he ordered a ton of testing....some of which I found out later that he didn't even tell me about. He answered two pages while he was examining me. He answered those pages in the room with me versus leaving the room, which I feel he should only do if it is a true emergency. I have worked in health care and it is just common courtesy to answer pages after you are done with a patient. He also chuckled at a few of my questions and told me that I needed to get my health together because my cholesterol was a little high (my PCP is not concerned about my cholesterol because my ratio is good). He called me on the phone with test results and told me I had Lyme Disease when, in… fact, that wasn't the case. A preliminary test showed Lyme antibodies but only further testing can prove if or if not you have Lyme Disease. He did not explain this and it turns out that I DO NOT have Lyme Disease. I will never return to this Dr or office. The only thing positive about my visit was the nice lady at the front desk. After my appt, I learned that other people have visited him and feel the same way.

Dr. Dhaduk is the most qualified and considerate doctor I went to. He is always available and puts his patients first on his priority list. He is not only highly qualified, but I can completely trust his evaluation. He is hardworking, bright, and humble. I went to Dr. Dhaduk for headache and nerve problems. I had gone to previous doctors, but none of them succeeded in treating it. With Dr. Dhaduk, I was feeling better in no time at all. He truly cares for his patients and does not slack in his work. I highly recommend Dr. Dhaduk for any patient in need of a Neurologist.

Do not waste your time with this Dr. I was feeling horrible and my primary care Dr. got me an appt. here. He said this was the only neurologist that I could get into quickly. Now I know why...most people get disgusted and never come back. He does not do a thorough exam nor does he ask about symptoms you are having. He spends his whole time typing on the computer (what he is typing is beyond me since he never asks questions) and no time trying to get to the bottom of why you are seeing him. I'm sad I wasted my time with him, now I will need to wait several months to be seen by someone who knows what they are doing.

I only went to the office one time. I gave the doctor and the office a printed list of all my doctors. When I went back for the second appointment (they wanted to get my records before doing much) they had not contacted any of the doctors on the list. Instead they sent a request to an office which I had not been to for years and which was not on the list at all. They complained because they could not get my records. I never went back and never will again.
