Dr. Narendra Tohan, MD

I am giving Dr. Tohan 5 stars because he gave 100% in trying to diagnose and remedy my problems over a period of 10 years. I like that he acknowledges the validity and helpfulness of homeopathic remedies for small issues, such as boiled ginger root tea to treat nausea. Having said this, it is important for you to know that this reviewer has had bad experiences with all types of doctors from an eye doctor to a dentist to primary care, a naturopath and hospital staff. I completely mistrust doctors in general, I've suffered some of their big mistakes. Tohan's bedside manner can appear a little brash at times, but when you get to know him, he's a very gentle, patient, and caring listener. Like all other doctors, he doesn't always have all the answers and years ago he was wrong about an issue I had, which was remedied by a chiropractor. I didn't go to him for 8 years after but couldn't find a doctor who actually did something for me since then. I've seen him do research to figure out… problems, and really listens to understand what's going on with me. As with any doctor, you have to use your own noggin, the information they learn in school is not infallible. I've learned you can't rely on doctors alone. But I like Dr. Tohan because he's really extended himself for me as a patient, making time to see me after hours and allowing me to call him on a weekend when I really needed it. He gets 5 stars from me because he is sincere as well as generally very knowledgeable, and his experience has grown since the first time I saw him. He was the only doctor to successfully treat my anxiety. I still think he's wrong saying that it's not caused by peri-menopause, but the important thing is that I am a functioning person where before my condition had me completely incapacitated, and he was able to treat me immediately. If your medication isn't working, or you feel it's too much, or you experience side effects, you have to tell him and not write him off immediately. Everyone experiences medications differently. He works with you and will eliminate, change or reduce medications as needed per what you tell him. Sound, experienced doctor.

Dr. Tohan is one of the most caring and compassionate Doctors I have ever visited.

Dr. Tohan is extremely professional and goes out of his way to educate his patients on their health. I have complete trust in him and have referred many friends and family members to his office, and they feel the same!

Please do not ever go to this Dr!I am having nothing but problems with him, Went for a routine Pap smear..he started throwing Rx's at me, then ran $1600 worth of tests I did not request. He will only fill birth control for 2 months at a time, then REQUIRES you to come back in and pay him again to get another 2 months. His bedside manner is downright rude, as with his office staff as well.Then he billed my insurance company incorrectly..forcing me with a $390.00 bill and he refuses to correct this problem due to HIS mistake (apparently having RA - nothing to due with the female organs -is reason for him to refuse to bill this as a routine/preventative appointment.They are not friendly, money-hungry , argumentative and rude.

Dr tohan is an excellent doctor .He spend more than enough time to listen your probelms and he gives wonderful diagnosis.and patients will get better in short period with his treatment.he is an excellent doctor.

You'll never find another doc like him. He listens and never rushes you. Genuinely concerned for his patients. He has performed 3 surgeries on me and I never been more impressed with a health care professional.
