Dr. Nashay Natalee Clemetson, MD

Dr Clemetson was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable about my condition. She inquired about my family history and even looked at family photos showing my condition was passed on from generation to generation. I felt like someone cared and listened and responded me as a human being. That’s very unusual at the VA. I would recommend her as a patient and as a teaching Doctor. She is loved and respected by all.

Awesome doctor with a courteous and friendly disposition, eager to help and knowledge. I ran into this kind helpful lady in the post office under a mask I had no idea she was Dr Clemetson. In the midst of tending to her own affairs she offered to help me when she notice I had a dilemma. After driving away I realized who she was. WOW, I’m impressed with her consistency in and out of the medical practice. I highly recommend Dr Clemetson, she’s the real deal: knowledgeably, friendly and sincere.. Thanks doc, we need more professionals like you!

She treated my severe eczema. Great doctor.

I was suffering from severe eczema on the palms of my hands and bottoms of my feet. I saw 3 different doctors before seeing Dr. Clemetson. She prescribed a treatment that healed and provided relief for my hands and feet. She is also very thorough and explains whats going on with your diagnosis.

I visited Dr. Clemetson for a semi-urgent visit before starting on a medication for a condition that I had. I waited for over 1.5 hours to see to Clemetson. Not only she failed to apologize for the wait, but her responses to my skin condition were also vague at the best. In the middle of the consultation, she abruptly left the room without explaining anything. Her nurse returned 15 minutes later to mention that she was not feeling well and will not be able to see me that day and that I'd needed to re-schedule. When I requested to see the other dermatologist given the urgency of my situation, Dr. Clemetson returned 20 minutes later and continued her consultation. She did the biopsy of my skin sites and finished my consultation. I never received a call with an explanation of my biopsy results. I had to get my results online and take it to my primary care for further interpretation. Based on my experience, Dr. Clemtson has very poor bedside manner, does not educate the patient, and is… not even courteous enough to discuss the test results with her patient. I will not recommend her until she can improve on all those aspects.

Overall, Dr. Clemetson had a hard time answering basic questions about moles and rashes. She’s definitely a younger doctor and that’s ok, but instead of skirting around the question she could’ve just said she didn’t know and that she would ask her colleague for an opinion/get back to me. Instead she made you feel like it was a chore to answer questions and that the questions were dumb even though she wouldn’t answer them directly. She was not very friendly- not mean, but not friendly and personable, which is unusual for Sibley doctors. I am by no means wanting a full blown friend to friend conversation, I know doctors are busy, but I would except a good attitude at least and some effort to answer questions. Hopefully she will learn as she goes! But if skin cancer is a real concern for you, I would recommend going elsewhere.
