Dr. Nasir Husienali Tejani, MD

STAY AWAY! This has to be one of the most egregious efforts in practicing pediatric medicine I have EVER experienced! It is not worth your heart ache , or struggle with this MD. I really think the medical review board needs to step up and retire this man. Additionally, his nurse practitioner is worthless. Signing off on lab work does not always mean they are ok. My son was in a wheelchair, crippled with Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis and suffering great amounts of pain due to this MD and his staff having any ability to recognize signs and symptoms or to be able to properly diagnose! RUN for the hills if this is your last choice, you can get better care in a 3rd world country!

Somehow, this physician's name appeared on my child's medical records even though we never went to his office. When I questioned him, he tried to intimidate me. He can not be trusted. RATING=ZERO

This doctor helped in the diagnosis of my son having heart concerns when he was just under a a yr old. My son ended up having surgery by a doctor he recommended out of UCLA. They both worked well in ensuring the best care was given for my son. Just by luck we landed care with this doctor. Not at all disappointed. Office staff comes and goes but he is good doctor.

This doctor is not the one to go to. I went there twice with my newborn, the first time was ok. There was nothing bad but nothing good, it was the doctors office. The second time I went for my child's three month check up, I was sent to a room and they left me in there for 40 min! If you have a hungry newborn who is screaming and your stuck in a little room you understand. The main nurse came in and saw me for four minutes. I'm not exagerating, it was for four minutes. She then told me another nurse was gonna come in and give my child his shots. I have to say for a new mom I'm ok with watching my kid get shots. The nurse walks in with a facial apperance of not wanting to be there and didn't give any regard that my child is 3 months old, (I understand that everyone had bad days but you work at a child's doctors office.) She cleans the area and gives my child his shot. She then sticks the used needle into the seat where my kid was sitting. She took the needle that came out of my kid and… stuck it IN the seat not on IN. By this time I was done. I was shocked and done. The nurse leaves and tells me she needs to put the shots on his record card. (which should take at most seven minutes.) Im in the room for 15 minutes with my kid looking at me like im the most evil human being in the world. I then open the door to leave and see where the nurse is. She is standing at the desk, (right in perfect view of exiting the patient room) laughing with the other nurses and the main nurse. I stare at her and ask where my shot card is. She looks at me and says she needs to stamp it. She takes the stamp and stamps it. 2 seconds .... it took her 2 seconds to stamp it. As you can tell I was very upset with this office. By the way never introduced to the doctor, he was obviously to busy to not come to work. If you love your child DO NOT COME HERE!

OMG! I will never take my son to this place hereafter. Waiting time is more than 30 mins. After this long wait, the doctor-on-duty spends some 5 mins with us. One of the doctor don't even know how to to behave to a kid. We rarely met Dr. Tejani during our visits and he will be busy or will be taking calls during the checkup time. He is in a hurry to finish things in seconds. We recently had a bad experience with them when our son got sick. They had no clue what was going on with him and asked us to take all kind of lab tests. Totally ridiculous!! They even lost the immunization card once.Totally irresponsible people... Please don't even consider this place if you care for your baby. We are looking for new pediatrician now.

Dont ever go to this place by mistake!!!

Dr.Tejani has been my sons pediatrician for nearly 8 years. I am in the process of looking for a new one after our last visit!!! After personally speaking with him over the phone and giving him a synopsis (20 min. conversation) of what was going on with our son he said to come see him the following week and to bring all lab work done by his Allergist. When he came in the room he asked" why we were there"? Not only did we not feel important, but he didn't even bother to research the issue we may have with our son or even glance at the lab results I brought in. When asked for two blood tests to rule out some things and asked him a few questions about this possible disease he treated me like an over zealous mother! He did everything but "shush" me with his hand! He was rude, short with me, and extremely pompous. The worst part was when he finally wrote the request for the lab work... it was WRONG!!! Thank goodness I caught it and stopped him halfway down the hallway. If he would've just… taken 5 minutes to look at my sons labs he would've noticed it was already done. Though he has years of experience, i've learned that it doesn't matter. He is NOT up to date and clued in on all the newer diseases, but what's worse is that he didn't want to help us find someone who could diagnose and possibly treat our son! Through all this though I have learned to be more assertive and ask questions, and to not take "no" for an answer!

I liked Dr Tejani a lot. He is definitely a 5 star doctor.His staff, at the time, this was 1 yr ago was not that high a quality. Also, they made some comments about my 1 yr old crying, where I was left felt feeling bad. The staff at a new doctor's office where we moved, is so friendly and they know how to treat a crying child. This makes my visit much more tolerable. Dr. Tejani rarely sees the patient. He has brand new, young doctor's see the kids. I found that unacceptable. I tried to get my child in with Dr Tejani, but he is mostly busy seeing women in the hospital who have just delivered.

Almost every visit has had a significant wait time past our appointment time. Although the office staff is nice they are very poor at communicating and ensuring accuracy in paperwork, procedures, and billing. As for Dr. Tejani himself, we have only met with him about 10% of our visits. When we do meet with him, he often seems disinterested and does not offer any feedback. We have called on two occasions and received a call back about 3-4 hours later to a clearly bothered pediatrician. Definitely not personable or attentive to us and our little ones needs.There is a female PA working under Dr. Tejani who is excellent. The times we met with her she was very kind and well spirited. If she had her own practice she is worth a look at.

Patients come to the hospital in the mercy of doctors who handle them. My child needed care that was not properly handled by Dr. Tejani by not making quick and wise decisions. The people who work around him are great in terms of patient care, but as a doctor, he calls the shots. Clearly, years of experience are not enough to make a QUALITY physician.
