Dr Altorki is an excellent doctor. He’s caring, compassionate, personable. and he didn’t talk at me. He talked to me so I can understand exactly what was going on with my cancer. He was also wonderful with my family. The only thing I can say is that he and his office staff are truly a blessing. And I cannot thank him enough for being my doctor.

Dr. Altorki is personable, good listener and extremely confident. I found him to be awesome and I felt privileged to meet with him. His staff was very friendly and quick to correct a scheduling conflict. There actions indicate to me the type of boss they work with. I recommend Dr Altorku with out reservation.

I saw Dr Altorki for hiatal hernia Had laparoscopic repair He is very patient and skilled surgeon however, postop room was horrible I am Not a fussy oatient, but was put postop in a room with a male who had a respiratory issue I was then moved into another room with a man who acted like a pig I have never encountered mixed gender rooms There is no need for that at all ! I couldn't use the bathroom,in the room, because of the male pig who was using it

Dr. Altorki met with us, and calmly explained everything in layman’s terms. He was patient, took his time, and answered all of our questions. As we were coming into New York from New Jersey he and his team worked to schedule all of our tests in one day. He, and all of his team were always courteous, professional, and reassuring. I would definitely recommend Dr. Altorki to anyone.

Could not ask to be in better hands when you need serious thoracic surgery.

I have been in Dr. Altorki's care for almost five years. I have had two segmentectomies for cancerous lung nodules where Dr. Altorki was the surgeon. It has given me great peace of mind to experience Dr. Altorki's prodigious command of research and practice in this field, to learn about the recognition of his excellence by his peers, and to benefit from his thoughtful discussions with me about my illnesses. I have always felt that I am under the best possible care. Having cancer brings up very powerful emotions; your choice of physicians, surgeons, and care institutions should allay some of that and help make your attitude a positive one.

The doctor was in emergency surgery at the time of my appointment, but the NP I seen was extremely well versed, explained everything clearly.

Couldn't ask for a better doc! If you have the chance to see Dr. Altorki, you'll understand. He's honest and upfront, tackling even my silliest questions (I had a few). No nonsense and super straightforward, he keeps your expectations in check. Plus, he goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, even when you're feeling your worst.
