Dr. Natalia Angela Palacio, MD

LOVE her, just not her office manager! I waited MONTHS to get my first appointment with her, but it was worth it. She’s like a dog with a bone when it comes to finding out the reasons for odd test results and declining weight. My issue is the new MDVIP thing. I went to the presentation on it and while it sounds good to be able to be seen in a short period of time, some people simply cannot afford and extra $200+ per month for their healthcare. So I sought out another physician, and after seeing him, decided that i’d do the MDVIP for 3 or. 6/:months for consistency of care through at least two more surgeries and any required post-op care. I had an appointment today, that was scheduled some3+ months ago when at my last appointment (before I ever heard the words MDVIP) she said that she wanted to see me again in 3 months. So the appointment for today was scheduled and ai drove the hour drive from my house only to be intercepted by the office manager who informed me that because I… had seen another doctor that my care was now under him and that Dr. Palacio would not be seeing me today. I explained my thoughts about a potential limited foray into MDVIP (who knows? i could get in, love it, and decide that it simply MUST be part of my care) and she cut me off, saying that there were no limited terms available and that if I signed up, I’d be committing to paying $2500 for a year membership. But again, there was no possibility of seeing doctor Palacio today. Now note that the office was dead when I walked in for my appointment, with no one waiting in the waiting room and only one other person there as I left, but I couldn’t even get a glimpse of the doctor who has so carefully followed my every test and one aborted surgery.

Dr. Palacio gives me her respect and undivided attention. She is the best primary care doctor I could ask for.
