Dr. Natalie Renee Prochak, MD

Spent time explaining what was going on. She even called family members to explain things to them so they would understand too.

Doesn't listen. Seems hurried. Cuts you off when you try to talk. Definitely not in the medical field for the right reasons.

Dr. Prochak does not listen. She judged me before walking in the room and didn't even allow me to explain my story. Does not explain things or allow patient input. Request another physician immediately if you are assigned to her

Dr Prochak changed my entire medication regiment without discussing with me. She became hostile when I asked to discuss it with her. No explanation of labs, medications, or reasons for what she does. I was discharged and right back in the hospital within 2 days. At least on the second hospitalization, I had a physician who listened and let me be part of the decision making. Don't think that just because she is female that she is warm and fuzzy. Far from it.

Dr Prochak, hospitalist, seemed engaged while in the hospital room, but subsequently changed my medications and discontinued two that I have been on for many years and need. Communication of the care plan and reasoning for the changes never occurred. We only found out about the changes when asking what the medications I was being given were and when the discontinued ones were scheduled. When in for another hospitalist for the day, she changed several treatments without understanding why they were in place.

If she is your assigned doctor with Palmetto health, run for the hills. There is no communication and no reason for the excessive tests she orders. Maybe that helps to pay for the expensive clothes and boots she prances around in. She did not listen at all to what we were saying. Terrible experience.

Dr Prochak doesn’t communicate the treatment plan well with families. I left messages for days to get a phone call update and I heard nothing. She seemed abrupt, hurried, and offended when asked questions about other options. Very young and in-experienced.
