Horrible doctor. Saw her in the ER and she was totally dismissive. She ignored a major symptom and sent me home anyway with no medicine or plan. I was much worse when I got home with excessive bleeding and had to seek out further attention elsewhere.

I went to the emergency room because of a very strong pain and only gave me ibuprofen and I let myself go to another hospital and almost lost my life, she is a bad doctor

I brought my adult son into the ER because he was having a panic attack. They can be terrifying so we just wanted to make sure his vitals were OK. They were good and he said he was feeling better but then they took him back for more unnecessary testing. Costing over a $4000 ER visit for a panic attack. Including a $1200 calcium test. Dr Shum took advantage of my son while he wasn’t even aware of why they took him back. Finally I demanded that I go back to see him to figure out what they were trying to do. He was just sitting there with an empty bag of fluids and a needle stuck in his arm. Money hungry hospital and a money hungry doctor stay away!

Surprised how long Dr Shum took to talk with me and my husband to explain test results and my diagnosis. She even called me to check on me two days later! Cool lady-- wish she had her own office.

She was the best Dr. I have even seen. She is patient, knowledgeable and a great teacher.

My child was admitted to the ER and seen by Dr. Shum. She was quite condescending and short when asked questions. She misdiagnosed by child, and discharged him- prescribing him an antibiotic, when he actually had a virus. Not happy with my experience.
