Summary

I was a Molecular and Cellular biology major at the University of Arizona, minoring in Chemistry, Math, and Physics. My love for travel led me to study at Oxford University in England and The American Institute in France. After graduation, I attended the Mayo Clinic Medical School. It was during my four years at the Mayo Clinic that I began to do research focusing on the human brain. I studied Alzheimers disease and this research exposed me to the art of the human mind. My interests led me to a residency in Anesthesiology at UCLA medical center. My interests in pain management allowed me to return to the Mayo Clinic to do a fellowship year in interventional pain management. During this year, my research focused on using electricity to treat pain, spinal cord implants, injection therapies, and medication management. At the end of my fellowship year, I had one of the most "Amazing" adventures of my life. My world was forever changed when I was chosen to participate on The Amazing Race with my best friend and colleague, Kat Chang. We competed travelling over 32,000 miles in 3 weeks. Not only were we fortunate to complete the entire race, but we won! This made us the first female/female team to win in Amazing Race history! The experience was such a gift. Since then, I have been lucky enough to connect with hundreds of type 1 diabetics, giving me an endless feeling of joy to know that my participation led to inspiration for so many. I am now an Assistant Professor in Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. I will be practicing Interventional Pain Management as well as teaching. I am committed to improving my patients lives through a holistic, multidisciplinary approach, delivered with a personal touch.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
