Dr. Natalie Wakefield Vassar, MD

Shes the reason why people don't get help. She was there to judge and make me feel guilty. Said they couldn't help if I didn't change the way I think.

Dr. Vassar was my psychiatrist for 4-1/2 years. I originally went to a different psychiatrist, who diagnosed me with bipolar disorder after only talking to me for 10 minutes. Shortly after, he moved to a different office where he no longer took my insurance. So at the end of 2013, I started seeing Dr. Vassar. For those 4-1/2 years, I tried so many different medications (23 to be exact) and to no avail, nothing ever helped. So after years of beating my head against the wall, I asked Dr. Vassar to re-evaluate me for bipolar disorder since she was not the one who diagnosed me in the first place. She scoffed at that suggestion....SCOFFED. Basically like, "how dare you question me and my methods that are clearly not working." I'm sorry, but I was under the impression that since I am the patient and I am the one paying YOU, Dr. Vassar, to be my doctor, that you should...I don't know....LISTEN to your patients. Nope. She doesn't listen. EVER. So I finally decided to change doctors and lo and… behold, like I thought, I am not bipolar. Not only did I get treated for something I do not have for over 4 years, but I also had to deal with the stigma that goes along with it. It's been over a year now since I stopped going to Dr. Vassar and now I am having to pick up the pieces of 5 years that I vaguely remember due to all the heavy medication she had me on. Thanks! So if you want to go to a doctor who doesn't give a sh*t about you or your life, then by all means, visit Dr. Natalie Vassar.

I have had 4 other psychiatrist over the years and Dr. Vassar has been the best of them all. She really listens and takes the time to make sure your needs are met. She goes above and beyond and has provided excellent treatment

She is very caring. She will talk to you like a person not a test subject. She helps you work with your medication not making the medication overwhelm your life. She made sure I was always getting the best treatment. Thank you Dr. I hope many more can find you. So they to can get the great benefits and treatment you provide.
