Dr. Natasha Abena Dwamena, MD

While Dr.dwameena is personable, she is an incompetent physician. Thanks to her care, or lack of, I developed a breast abscess that could have been avoided had I been treated properly/promptly. I had suspicions it was a breast abscess and when I got a call from someone in her practice, I asked if it was an abscess (after an ultrasound), and she said Dr. Dwamena said" no" and that she would call me to answer my questions. She never called me back & I couldn't even book a follow up appointment. All they did was prescribe the wrong antibiotic. When I went back for my prenatal appt. The other physician at medstar obgyn. Dr.huang said it looked stable and that it was just mastitis. My lesion ruptured and now is leaking pus! I'm 38 weeks pregnant and soon to give birth and I'm absolutely terrified to be delivered by her. Point of story!! BEWARE CHANGE DOCTORS!!!! now I have to see a breast surgeon and have this abscess drained while pregnant! I'm so dissapointed with these so called doctors

Wonderful! When I needed surgery, she was the only one I trusted to do it. Would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Dwamena was the first doctor to explain things to me so I could understand it. She did my surgery and it was the best decision I made. I've referred her to family and friends. I wish she practiced closer to DC!

While delivering my daughter via cesarean she cut her face which then required her to need surgical glue to close. My incision is crooked and 3 inches above my old incision. I felt like due to going into labor early she was in a rush to get out of there.
