Doctor was rushed, informal, and abrupt. Took 3 minutes to provide a recommendation of surgery on a child. Did not take the time to understand the nature of the injury, current treatment, or to present pros and cons to her recommendation. In the end we went to get another opinion from a surgeon who was very adamant that surgery was not necessary. Even if surgery was needed there is no way I would let Dr. Trentacosta perform the surgery on my daughter given the way she conducted herself in our first meeting. I was shocked. She entered the room, took a seat and plowed through the appointment with little care or attention. I don't even know if she reviewed my daughter's MRI. What was worse, is that she had a student with her shadowing her. I hope this student or resident understands this is not how you give good quality care.

Dr. Trentacosta was extremely cold and uncaring. It's like she is running a relay. She dashes in, barely pays any attention to you, and runs out. Showed zero empathy for my situation.I told her I thought the hip was also involved and she said "I don't know what you want, I'm not a hip replacement doctor." When I said I had had 4 replacements she said (rudely) "well,Do you want a fifth?" I'm just trying to figure out what's wrong so I can figure out how to deal with it.I was very upset with the consultation and would absolutely NEVER recommend her to anyone.
