During podiatry school Dr. Clyde also served as a class delegate for the American Podiatric Medical School Association (APMSA) and represented his peers on a national level.After graduation, Dr. Clyde went to southern Indiana to complete his advanced surgical residency at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville – the state’s only podiatry residency program that is affiliated with an orthopedic hospital.. There, he received comprehensive training in all facets of foot and ankle medicine and surgery including: trauma, wound care, limb salvage, minimally invasive surgical techniques, ankle arthroscopy, sports medicine, and reconstructive surgery. Evansville provided ample opportunity for Dr. Clyde to serve a wide demographic of patients and to fine-tune his surgical and clinical skills.Dr. Clyde obtained his bachelor degree from Utah State University in his hometown of Logan, Utah. In addition to the medical prerequisites, he studied economics and was chosen to be a Vernon Buehler Leadership Scholar in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. During his undergraduate career, he was able to work for the Institute of Antiviral Research at Utah State University where he co-authored his first publication and had the opportunity to conduct antiviral research for the National Institutes of Health (NIH).Perhaps more important than his training and academics is Dr. Clyde’s good character and genuine demeanor. He values hard work, loyalty, and integrity. Although he takes pride in his work he takes even more pride in his relationships and family, namely his wife and three daughters who continue to be the center of his life. When he’s not in the clinic or operating room Dr. Clyde enjoys mountain biking, trail running, wood working, camping, and spending time with his family – going to parks, watching good movies, eating good food, or playing board games.
