Dr. Nathan John Kroegel, PMHNP-BC

Nathan Kroegel, PMHNP-BC, has practiced as a mental health nurse practitioner since 2013. He began his career in the U.S. Air Force, where he led the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment (ADAPT) program, overseeing prescription medication management and supervising counseling services. At Bristol Health his clinical expertise spans a wide range of psychiatric conditions, and he has continued to provide comprehensive care to the general psychiatric population following his military service.

In his civilian practice, Nathan focuses on evidence-based medication management and collaborative care. His specialized services include:

• Treatment of depression and anxiety
• Management of insomnia and bipolar disorder
• Care for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Management of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders
• Psychiatric medication evaluation and ongoing management
• Telehealth Visits

He also serves as a preceptor for graduate nursing students, supporting the next …generation of mental health professionals.

Outside of his professional work, Nathan enjoys spending quality time with his wife, daughter, and father, often gathering for board games or movie nights. A San Jose, California native, he grew up playing hockey and has fond memories of attending San Jose Sharks games. His educational background includes a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nevada State College.
