A patient of Dr. Massey’s walked in for a routine outpatient procedure. Significant scar tissue was observed, but the doctor proceeded with the esophageal balloon dilation causing oxygen to escape to the brain and severe stroke. Patient is bedridden and requires 24/7 care. A malpractice suit was dismissed on a technicality.

Dr. Massey is the best at everything he does, exactly what a physician should be. I first saw him about 17 years. He was first able to diagnose and treat a condition no other doctor had successfully done. I tell him in all sincerity that he saved my life. In my opinion, that’s what he did. He has continued to give me the same kind, thorough care in the years since. He’s easy to talk to, concerned with listening to you and answering your questions. He’s comforting and treats you as a real individual about whom he cares. I trust him completely!

I struggle with a difficult to treat condition. Over the course of many years Dr. Massey has been a truly caring and thoughtful physician.

Excellent doctor. He doesn't just care about my medical issues, he cares about me as a person, too. With other doctors I felt alone in my illness even though they were there to prescribe medicine and perform necessary procedures. With Dr. Massey, I feel supported and cared about, like I am not facing my disease alone. He is both competent and caring. He never acts like he's in a hurry when we're talking but makes himself fully present and available to answer any questions I have. I am grateful to have such a wonderful doctor.
