Horrible care and treatment

I have been seeing Dr Meloy for some time now because of lumbar arthritis. I have the nerve ablation done. He has always been very nice and engaging in conversation and so have his staff. I couldn't ask for better

If I could give 0 stars - he is abusive to his patients - arrogant attitude if you have pain you are going to live with it - no help from him . He is terrible ! Run !

Dr. Meloy is good at what he does. The problem lies with his staff and their discriminatory policies. First, he only takes Medicaid patients, as it is required to be affliated with Genesis Heath System and to have admitting privelges. The first chance this office gets, they drop Medicaid patients which constitutes Medicaid fraud. He has an elderly female nurse working for him who is verbally abusive to his staff. She was verbally abusive towards me, shouted at me for taking an important call and refused to allow me to see Dr. Meloy. The office used this as their excuse for dropping me; that it was my fault that their staff was verbally abusive towards me. I suppose it is better to say this than to admit engaging in Medicaid/Medicare fraud. Any Dr. Is better than here. There is so much discrimination and illegal activity occuring at the hands of the staff, it's not worth wasting any time.

He is probably a great doctor if you have no pain. If you are having any pain I would suggest you stay as far away from him as possible. He did absolutely nothing for me!

I requested to see Dr Meloy after talking with others that had gone to him and had success. I have been in extreme pain for over 3 months and was bounced around from Doctor to Doctor without much help and a lot of bills. I got seriously depressed since i couldn't sleep well, lift things or sit without having a lot of pain. Dr Meloy put steroid shots in both my hips and that relieve the pain quite a bit which then helped me get out of most of my depression. he is easy to talk to and seems to actually care about my situation.

Had bad experence with this guy. He trysto screw you over. Very unprofessional.Don't waste your time with this guy.

Was taken off all of my pain meds until I had an MRI, then had cortazone shot which didn't help, now my only options are more shots or surgery and he is still denying me pain meds! How messed up is that? My back is bad enough for surgery, but apparently not for anything stronger that aspirin or steriods!
