Dr. Nathan Terry Rich, MD

We met Dr. Rich one week after my husband's diagnosis of lymphoma. We were shaken and fearful. Beginning with his staff who were kind, courteous and helpful. When Dr. Rich entered he apologized for being late and then went on to ask some questions and then go over everything he had at that point. He told relived out minds when he emphasized that my husband's cancer was treatable. He then told the extra tests needed and why and then told us what he would be doing once he received the tests before he met with us in 2 weeks. To say we were relieved would be an understatement. He helped us realize that there was hope but also made it clear that we would have to work at it also. He was kind, caring and helpful. Thank you Dr. Rich for being such a good and thoughtful doctor to us.

I’ll probably have respiratory issues for the rest of my life because of this incompetent “doctor.” He needs to learn to actually listen to his patients concerns instead of brushing them off to later come back with things get worse and have the odasity to say it too late to do anything now.

This guy is the worst oncologist I have ever met his office staff is very rude and so is his nurses.his wait time was more the 60 min long to talk to him for 15 min and get charged for a long vist.this guy is all about how many people he can wait on in one day.we would ask all kinds of questions and his response was I think so I dont know we dont know enough about the cancer you have and so on.this guy we caught in so many lies and questions that he had no answers too I would never recommend him to nobody we had the worst experience with him and his staff my wife would cry evey time we went to them.

Cancer patients are ill, they don't just have a sniffle. After a 2 hour drive we were turned away because we got a flat tire on the way there, office was very very rude, dr. rich said he would call weeks ago with test results he has never called. We have called several times asking for the results and someone to explain them, nothing. In the final stages of cancer an incurable cancer just hoping for some kind of help. Thank you for your unkind demeanor, perhaps today was an answer to a prayer, we will never be back. I know this will never be seen because someone will screen it and make sure it never gets posted, shame on you. Carma

Knows his work and is taking great care of my mother

Dr. Rich has so much patience and understanding for patients who are not only afraid of the cancer but don't always understand an explanation the first time because they can't think straight. My first oncologist was exactly that and I parted ways with her as soon as I met Dr. Rich. Sometimes a patient needs a little more 'time', and he's there to give it. I waited 25 minutes one time, but that was because he was giving some much needed TLC to another patient, and I understood it then and still do now. He's the best!!!

On my first visit with Dr. Rich after being diagnosed with breast cancer, he spent a good hour with my husband and I reviewing everything. He was careful to make sure all our questions were answered and gave easy to understand explanations. We were giving all our treatment options and felt very comfortable with the direction of care and team of experts.

My wife was diagnosed 22 months ago with a cerebellar disease that was the result of a rare auto-immune reaction to ovarian cancer. She cannot speak well, cannot walk without a lot of help and is on a feeding tube. Dr. Rich chose a reasonably aggressive approach to the chemotherapy and until just a couple of weeks ago, my wife was cancer "free". This past week Dr. Rich took almost an hour with us to explain options for the next round of treatment and shared his concerns and the limitations of each option. His care for his patients is something that I have not found in any other specialist and we appreciate him more than I can express. You will not go wrong by choosing Dr. Rich for your oncologist.

I'm 5 yrs out with Malignant Melanoma (stage 4) and I quite frankly love my doc. Dr Rich knows his stuff--and when he doesn't know something he is quick to admit it and find the answer. Rather than taking the easy way out--standard, expensive, ineffective (long-term) Interferon, Dr Rich listened to me. When I said I didn't want that treatment, he helped me find and coordinate participation in a clinical trial which (in hind-sight) has added years to my life. The important part here is he will listen to what I want.

Dr Rich takes the time to ask questions and discusses tests and possibilities with you. He doesn't have an ego.
