Great doctor

Dr. Smallwood has performed one major surgery on me and a few minor. He has been supportive not only to myself but to my wife as well. He is compassionate, caring, and willing to take his own time to explain in non-laymens terms what is going on. I highly recommend him and his team.

I am not a healthy person and have seen many doctors in my time. There are too many personal details to mention but everything has been bad from the beginning. I had a very simple surgery 6 months ago which has seemingly produced a negative (life changing) affect, and if it is something that will heal, or if there is any answers at all, he isn't giving them. He is not even apologetic, none the less, he is annoyed by my complaint. He doesn't return phone calls, doesn't understand what he prescribed, and even disagreed with me when I told him that my primary told me I was taking it incorrectly. Afterwards, I researched how to take the medication and my primary was accurate. but I, as many of us, trust doctors way too quickly. He scheduled this surgery without my ok, and is the most unprofessional, rude doctor that I have encountered.

Love him! He is very professional, but also very compassionate. He knows that any surgical experience can be scary and is available to answer any questions or respond to concerns. He is an advocate on behalf of his patients.
