Dr. Howard was arrogant and condescending.

Dr. How'd cured my husband's Hep C 14 years ago. He's been in remission ever since. We are grateful for Dr. Howard.

I have had the same Castro, Dr. Stephen Pearce in Chico since 2000. Wonderful man. Kind, gentle, thorough. Admitted to Oro. Hosp. for Heart and upper digestive probs. Dr. Howard seized opportunity to perform upper GI & Colonoscopy when did not need one. Did not "Prep" me night before, and let some kid named Clayton perform my Colonoscopy. Nightmare. Should have his hospital privileges yanked, as well as his license. Followed up with my own Castro, and have not been same since. I swore I would never let Dr. Howard touch me, and yes the hospital DOES know about my experience. I would not even rate him, but this site requires it, so I give him a big fat zero!

I felt very comfortable with Dr Howsrd. He made sure I understood the procedure. He was proffessional with a great sense of humor. It was wonderful to have a doctor take the time Dr. Howard did. I was very frightend but Doctor and his great staff made the procedure I had go by quickly. I want to thank his staff for making it much easier. Thank you Dr. Howard and Staff.

Difficult to get an appointment with; day of appointment, kept me waiting 2 1/4 hrs. after driving 1+ hrs to get to the appointment, and my appointment was at 7:30am. Staff didn't about the "Patient's Bill of Rights"; staff not available to direct me to appropriate check-in. Overall experience, poor. Found staff and Doctor to be arrogant discourteous.

At best, Dr Howard seems impatient and condescending. At worst, you feel like he's annoyed with the piece of flesh in front of him. He has the bedside manner of a school teacher who hates kids. One of the worst things I experienced was a colonoscopy/EDG without any medication. It was torturous and horrifying.

Dismissive, complete disregard for patient dignity or concern, surprised he doesn't have his kil|s Stenciled onto his car.
