Dr. Nathaniel Steven Minnick, DO

My son was taken by ambulance to the ER from his college campus for a seizure- where he actually fell out of a bed that was lofted, hitting his head, bruising his back, and hurting his neck. Upon arrival my son was put in the hallway- no room. NO test were done. No bloodwork to show his medication levels to see if it was a break through or forgotten medication, No checking of his head for injury or concussion. He was in and out given NO real treatment in 2 hours. I was driving down 2.5 hours away to meet him at the hospital.... When I arrived, the front desk couldn't even tell me if he was discharged. I had to ask my son! Then when I asked who his doctor was- they simply said we don't know. What a difference from the previous time he was there, where the doctor CARED, and actually took care of assessing the situation, labs etc. It was only when I looked at my son's discharge paperwork that I found the doctors name. AND- see that my son received zero treatment- BUT thanks so… much for the epilepsy in adults patient education print out. Having a son with epilepsy for years I had no idea....come on dude? Seriously? You should not be treating patients if you do not actually put the time in to evaluate them. How are you going to send someone with a seizure home, with a fall- back to their dorm... with no treatment. You should be ashamed.
