Dr. Nathaniel Rong-Hwa Yuan, DO

I saw Nathaniel R. Yuan, DO for a follow up visit for my severe OSA in the presence of severe comorbidities, and he continued to make me feel like I’m doing something wrong by even being there. He loves to ask what do you want him to do. That’s your job, not mine. Be a partner in my health journey instead of an adversarial robot with no bedside manner. This guy clearly missed the classes at his backyard medical school where they teach you to be a caring and compassionate human being when dealing with people that have problems. He enjoys dismissing everything I say as not being relevant and can’t be bothered to understand why exactly I’m bringing up certain things. He just dismisses them as if I’m a more on. I 100% do not recommend Nathaniel R. Yuan, DO at UCLA Medical. He is not a good person and not a good Dr. UCLA needs to investigate this guy.

Meh, had to tell him to do job. Did it. changed everything he ordered. ignored my polycythemia from hypoxia in sleep but confirmed its there and present in labs. meh.

The most kind and compassionate doctor I’ve had. He listened to me and explained everything thoroughly. I can’t thank Dr. Yuan enough!!

I have been dealing with chronic gastrointestinal issues for several years with several visits to the ER where I was diagnosed with IBS. Over the past 6 months my symptoms became progressively worse and I finally decided to call Kaiser to book an appointment to be evaluated. Dr. Yuan was the DO on call and without any in-person evaluation - proceeded to tell me that my symptoms were entirely in my head and that I needed to see "behavioral medicine." Quite possible the most dismissive and disrespectful experience I have ever had dealing with a doctor.
