Dr. Zaffar is good, as well as his staff. An excellent PCP for elderly family members, he explains everything and is thorough. He reviews medical reports thoroughly and doesn't just make referrals like most PCPs. He cares for patients what a family doctor means...

ZAFFAR, MD is one of the best PCPs I've seen. Serves patients with full attention and professionally monitors medications for hypertension.

I have never felt so discriminated, disregarded by a provider in my life. He was supposed to be my PCP. I was never asking for refills , just a fix on his end so I can pick up my meds at a lower cost. He wouldn’t give me the chance to explain myself , nothing. I’m sure he wont care but his facility has now lost a new pt.

I was referred to this doctor in a group of physicians by my insurance because of his close distance to my residence. In my first visit I didn't got to talk to him because he was in too much of a hurry to go to a nursing home according to him. So my first face to face time with him was less than two minutes. If you can call it face to face because he was facing the computer and the man didn't examine me or ask me any specific questions. When I tried to list out all my issues he stoped me in mid conversation to remind me he needed to leave and that he will have a better idea when he get the records of my previous and other doctors. Then he left and told his secretaries to take any information I may have of my previous doctors and other physicians that I am consulting. My second visit to this doctor was a walk-in, witch is no problem because this location is a walk in clinic. I needed to see him because I was seeing flashes of light in my right eye followed by multiple floaters in… my sight in addition to blurred vision. Again I was seen in a hurry, this time because the closed at 12 mid day on Friday and I was the last patient of the day. Dr. Zaffar stated that it was important to go see a Oftalmologist because it could be a retina detachment and that if not treated can lead to blindness, and gave me a referral to go to one and left. I asked his staff if they knew of a Oftalmologist and they said I needed to call my insurance. Anyway, to shorten this story I was unsuccessful to get approval of the insurance because the referral was to vague in the details about my situation. After calling several times and trying with my insurance and the office of the Oftalmologist it all boiled down that Dr. Zaffar needed to specify in my referral ALL my symptoms, not only the blurry vision. Up to then, seven days had passed since I started feeling the symptoms in my right eye and I was worried I would lose my sight in that eye. I kept trying to get the referral corrected and faxed to the corresponding places but at Dr.Zaffar office they kept saying it wasn't their responsibility to do so that it was the Oftalmologist who had to do it, they said it was the insurance who had to respond and the insurance said again and again the original referral had to be redacted with ALL the symptoms. After bouncing up and down and calling to every party with NO RESOLUTION I decided to go to Dr. Zaffar office and get this solved once and for all. I had an appointment anyway and I was worried, nervous and emotional about the possibility of losing the sight of my eye. But again the doctor was in a hurry and even I was visible distressed and told him of the referral problem he wasn't kind enough to show he cared said that I should "GO HOME TO MAKE THOSE PHONE CALLS" and stormed off to his "nursing home". I stayed at his office to try to solve the issue of the referral between the insurance and his office and it was taking so long that the doctor came back from the nursing home he service and I still was there with NO RESOLUTION! He got upset and in a very nasty attitude told me to leave his office and "GO HOME TO MAKE PHONE CALLS". I said I wasn't leaving until my referral problem is solved because the insurance said it needed to be done right there in HIS office and NOT ANY PLACE ELSE. But he kept telling me to leave in a aggressive manner and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. All this happened in the presence of my 6 year old granddaughter, other patients in the waiting room, his staff of employees and I had the insurance representative on the phone on speaker in that moment that heard in susprise all of his mean words towards me. Needless is to say that I am never going back to that so called clinic or want to see this UNPROFESSIONAL individual that brings a bad name to the medical profession. I wouldn't give this person any star but this review don't allow me to leave it without at least one, he do not deserve any, in any case if it was possible I would give him "negative 5" stars!
