Dr. Nausica Dalfonso-Laghi, MD

Dr D'alfonso-Laghi is such a beautiful person. When you first meet her, you are appalled at her simplicity. She's not one to impress you with high heels, expensive perfumes, or hairstyles, but her expertise in Infectious diseases is what you really want when you have issues with a ruptured appendix (or otherwise). Dr. Laghi demonstrated a high concern in my case, and made sure everything was well, before I left for home. She even made sure the insurance covered the antibiotics I was supposed to take back home, after being discharged. I was very impressed with her expertise on the subject, her professional, yet, personal approach with me as her patient... allowing me to see her as the human being that we all are, and not the robotic person who just graduated from medical school. I thank God for the excellent Healthcare team I had at ROPH, and also want to thank Dr. Keith Monson (Surgeon) & Dr. Donald Childs (Attending).

Dr. Laghi knows her stuff, but isn't so stuffy as not to be able to joke with her patients. Although, sometimes, her pronounced Italian accent can make it difficult to understand her. That's something else she will joke about.
