Dr. Naveen V. Narahari

I have been a patient of Dr. Narahari since 2014. He has completed EGD's and colonoscopies on me. If I have an urgent matter they try to work me in sooner. His nurses have always called back within 24 hours or less. His PA responds to me in My Chart within hours typically. He has fantastic bedside manner. The 1st time I had to have a procedure I was extremely nervous. There was music in the procedure room which helped me relax- I think it was soundtrack from Frozen. This last time I had my procedure- Pearl Jam was playing. In addition to this, the staff at the endoscopy center (Raleigh campus) are phenomenal. The CRNA's are the BEST. My husband is also seen through this office and has never had an issue.

I had a frustrating and awful experience with Dr. Naveen Narahari on Dec 4th, 2023. My physician had placed a referral for me to see Dr. Naveen Narahari at Rex Digestive Health for my gallstone in Sep. After over two and half month waiting, I finally got to see him. My appointment was at 3:00 pm. I arrived at about 2:30 pm and Dr.Narahari rushed into the room at about 3:40 pm. With his deep frown at me, his first speech to me was “what brings you here?” I told him I had gallstone problems many years ago, I did MRI Abdomen twice and a regular Gastrooscope and Endoscope in the clinics in Cary. Without any patience, Dr.Narahari started his interrogation discussion with me just like a suspect answering the question with a detective. He told me he didn’t have any information about my ailment and he didn’t believe there is clinic in Cary that can do Gastroscope. I answered him, I did Gastroscope in UNC hospital and, for Endoscope and MRI Abdomen were the in clinics Cary. And I asked him” I… do believe these test results should be uploaded on the UNC Health Portal; did you check it out?” He answered nothing. And Dr. Narahari asked me “Why didn’t you ask the suggestions from those doctors who did Gastroscope and Endoscope?” I answered him “These tests are annual regular procedures, and are not specialized on my gallstone diagnose.” Then, Dr.Narachari asked me the last question was “who is your physician and you can leave until we call you back soon.” Until today, after 10 days, I haven’t got any contact from Dr.Narahari. As I checked with my Physician on Dec 5th, she confirmed that she had delivered my test reports to Dr.Narahari office in Sep and sent these document after I visited Dr.Narahari again. Like Until today, there was no contact from Dr.Narahari. It was a nightmare to visit Dr.Naveen Narahari, because I don’t like to be treated as a suspect and I don’t like to meet a doctor who I can’t trust.

Stay away from Dr. Narahari and his team. I have had the worst experience with his team, lack of follow up and coordination additionally speaking with a nurse from his office is just impossible. It is just unfortunate to have doctors and medical staff who are irresponsible when it comes to patient care.

I was overdue for my colonoscopy and was a bit worried about my procedure. Our video consultation went extremely well. Dr. Narahari answered all my questions and he did not seem rushed. Dr. Narahari completed my colonoscopy and like he said I did not feel sore afterward or feel nauseated. Great caring staff also. I received that day after telephone call to make sure I was feeling okay. Awesome!

Dr. Narahari is the best gastroenterologist ever! He is a great diagnostician and he has a wonderful bedside manner. Very patient friendly and I'm so fortunate that he is my specialist for GI issues. I have complete confidence and trust in him.
