Dr. Naveen Qureshi, MD

I grew up in the Orange County area and attended medical school at UCLA. I completed my pediatric residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. It was during residency that I developed a special interest in childrens oncology, from special bonds I formed with oncology patients and their families. I also embarked on junkets with medical teams in Pakistan, where I met chronically ill children with debilitating thalassemia in villages with limited access to care. Due to personal drive and a commitment to improving care and access for children with cancer and blood disease, I began a fellowship at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. During my fellowship, I married and moved to Northern California, subsequently completing my fellowship training at Childrens Hospital & Research Center in Oakland. Since then, I have become a mother of two and have settled once again in Southern California. Over the years I have had a great deal of experience working in various academic centers that have participated …in the Childrens Oncology Group and national clinical trials. The true joys of motherhood have also influenced my practice as a pediatric hematologist/oncologist.
