Dr. Navera Rashid Ahmed, MD

Terrible--she is rude and extremely unhelpful. I left crying--she provided zero advice, input, information, future steps--nothing. Do not visit this doctor-she is all ego and has no interest in helping her patients.

Beware!! My experience with Dr. Ahmed is one of the worst I've ever had with doctors. I wish I had read the reviews. Big mistake! The moment I walked into the office, I knew something didn't feel right. The front office staff was extremely unfriendly and didn't seem to know what was going on. And then I met Dr. Ahmed. She peppered me with question after question, which didn't apply to the problem I was there for. She questioned the knowledge I had about my own health and dismissed anything I had to say. She then went on to schedule a multitude of tests for me, which again were unnecessary to the problem I was there for. Unfriendly, unprofessional, and in the wrong profession. You have been warned.

Dr. Ahmed is an extremely caring and compassionate. I would recommend her to anyone looking for for an outstanding RA Doctor.

Doesn't worth to waste your time and money on this Dr., she is very rude

The office of Dr. Navera Ahmed provides the worst and the rudest service I have ever experienced in my life. Even the doctor herself doesn't listen to us , and she is always in hurry with us during the visit. She ordered me MRI, and the office has to send my medical history to my insurance, they didn't send enough information, so the per-authorization got denied. when I called the office to know what is the reason, they refused to tell me any information, and they said I have to call the insurance to know the reason. I called the insurance and knew what is the problem, so I called the office to let them know that the insurance company wants the office to call to provide more information. THE OFFICE SAID WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO CALL, SO WE WILL JUST SEND THEM FAX IF THEY REPLIED THEY WILL CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY, IF NOT NOTHING WE CAN DO. From my experience, THEY NEVER CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENT.

I was referred to her a few years ago by my primary care physician. I had no problems getting an appointment. Can’t really remember much about the staff. As far as Dr. Ahmed, I found her condescending and rather uncaring. I went to her primarily because I have Fibromyalgia with chronic fatigue and she basically gave me the message that she didn’t treat fibromyalgia patients. She did put me on Savella (although I was already on Cymbalta for clinical depression). So I had to wean off of that. The Savella was awful, made me feel much worse. Anyway she said I probably should see a physiatrist or that my primary care doctor should be capable of handling my fibromyalgia. (Which made my primary care rather nervous I think). Basically I got the message that she couldn’t be bothered with fibromyalgia patients and they should be treated somewhere else. So I came out of there feeling frustrated and angry because of her lack of empathy. Don’t know how she is in other areas of her specialty… but I would never recommend a fibromyalgia sufferer to go to her.

Not recommended - 1) Office - Receptionists were too busy chatting amongst themselves, eating food (on top of records/files), and reading magazines to properly acknowledge a patient when they waiting to check in. 2) Doctor - She appeared impatient/annoyed when you are trying to explain your ailment. She doesn't listen. Instead, she is more likely to rush you. Also, she constantly is distracted by looking into the mirror on back of door, i.e. fixing hair and looking at self.

I've seen her about 4 times. Every time I go to an appt she sends me here or there for more needless test. The orthopedic doctor, the blood doctor, the gastro doctor all for needless things. We haven't even started to treat me. Her bedside manner is so rude. On my last visit I went in and she yelled at me for not coming in sooner. First her office cancelled my appointment and sent a letter. Who sends a letter? The letter said they would call me in a week. I totally forgot and about 2 weeks later I called 4 times leaving a message which no one returned. So if you want to waste a ton of money on unnessacery tests, time, and be treated extremely rude she is your dr. I'm getting my records and going somewhere else. I don't need her attitude and rudeness considering we are just running in circles. Good bye Ahmed!

Dr Ahmed is obviously very knowledgeable about various arthritic illnesses and treatments, but her manner is rude and condescending, almost argumentative. Maybe she has a different manner with women or children, but I found her pretty rude. I don't mind that myself really, just something for others to be aware of if considering her. As far as the rest of the visit, it went as well as anywhere else I've been. I got in quickly, filled out one form, and saw the doctor after a short wait. The staff were not super friendly but they were not rude or anything else. The building's parking can be a bit of a nightmare so consider taking a taxi or the bus, it's only $5 to park but the garage is always jammed.

Dr. Ahmed's demeanor was initially friendly enough, but as the appointment progressed she became increasingly impatient and somewhat condescending. She needs to work on being a more caring listener.
